Christian Slavin – Founder and CEO
Chris founded Zap a Tat in 2009 after studying tattoo removal for several years. His research concluded that removers were being overcharged and underserved and designed Zap a Tat to remove the barriers facing tattoo regretors. Zap a Tats’ goal is to deliver high quality laser tattoo removal that is less expensive and more convenient than existing removal services.
Chris’ heath-care background is as EVP and President of Sunrise Senior Living Properties Division. There, he planed financed and executed the company’s roll-out in the US, Canada, UK and Germany.
Chris received his MBA with honors from Harvard Business School and his BS in Business Management from Babson College.
Bruce Kudeviz – Co-Founder CFO & CAO.
Bruce was Zap a Tats' first employee, joining in 2010. He built and runs Zap a Tat’s administrative and financial functions. Bruce has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare related retail and services for both Public and Private Companies. He was the first employee of Vitamins.com, a successful retail “start-up” and also was a key person in two $1Bn publically traded companies. Bruce is an expert in integrating Finance/Accounting and Operations. Bruce graduated cum laude, with an undergraduate degree from SUNY Buffalo and earned his MBA from George Washington University. Bruce is a licensed CPA.
Gabriela Rado Ayazi – Operations Manager
Gabriela, joined Zap a Tat in 2010 and is in charge of staffing, training and supervising zap a tat’s first location. Gabriela has 10-years experience with esthetic lasers beginning under a California, plastic surgeon performing medical esthetic treatments including Chemical Peels, Laser and Advanced Esthetic treatments. Before joining Zap a Tat, she was the Director of the Esthetic Institute and an Instructor specializing in Laser Education. Gabriela is a Master Esthetician, Laser Technician, Laser Instructor and Esthetic Instructor licensed and certified in California and Virginia.
Dr. Martin A. Morse, M.D., F.A.C.S. – Co-Founder & Medical Director
Dr. Morse joined Zap a Tat in 2011 as Co-Founder and Medical Director. He is certified in surgical and non-invasive lasers. Dr. Morse oversees laser operations and performs some of our removals. Dr. Morse is a Board certified Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon specializing in specializing in general reconstructive, Hand, and Head and Neck Cosmetic Surgery and is recognized by Washingtonian Magazine as one of Washington’s “Top Docs”. Dr. Morse has over 10 years (over 1,000 treatments) laser tattoo removal experience as a participant in Fairfax County’s gang tattoo removal program. Dr. Morse is has received numerous awards and recognitions for his accomplishments as a private sector plastic surgeon and as a Navy surgeon. Dr. Morse graduated Summa Cum Laude from Duke University and President of the Medical Honor Society from the Duke School of Medicine and is licensed in numerous states including Virginia and Florida.
Master Aestheticians
Zap a Tat removals are done by Licensed, Laser Certified, Master Aestheticians who train for 1200 hrs (8 months to 2 years) to treat the face, neck, and body with advanced esthetic medical treatments. They generally work in dermatologists' and plastic surgeons' offices as well as in salons and spas. Training includes advanced anatomy and physiology, skin properties and disorders, sanitation and infection control, advanced facial treatments, spa body treatments, advanced extractions, corrective makeup, chemical peels, micro-dermabrasion, lymphatic drainage and advanced massage techniques, pre- and post-operative esthetic skin care, client/patient evaluation and care, applicable laws, regulations, and business practices.
