Laser Tattoo Removal in Aldie, VA
The Tattoo You Thought You’d Have Forever… Gone in Months
Imagine this: you’re looking at that tattoo — the one you loved once, but now, every time you see it in the mirror, it feels like a reminder of a chapter you’ve outgrown. You’ve thought about removal before, but when you hear “two to three years” of treatments and “12-20 visits”… you sigh, shake your head, and tell yourself, maybe someday.
That’s where Zapatat®’s Fast Removal ART® changes everything.
Zapatat® was founded in 2009. We wanted to lower the cost and improve quality, making tattoo removal available to more people so in 2012 we spent over a year perfecting a method that flips tattoo removal on its head — transforming the process from two to three years and 12-20 treatments into 3-6 sessions in just one to two years, in most cases, especially for skin types I-IV (Fitzpatrick Scale). This method is called Accelerated Removal Technique (ART®), and it can remove most tattoos in as little as 3–6 visits. That’s one to two years instead of years of appointments and endless waiting.
Your ART® Journey — Guided Every Step of the Way
Three months after your first ART® treatment, we invite you back — not just for another appointment, but for a moment of truth. This is when we see how far your tattoo has faded, how your skin has responded, and how your body’s unique healing power has worked for you.
With ART®, the results can range from 30% to 80% removal after just one treatment. That’s because every tattoo tells its own story — different inks, different depths, different colors — and every immune system clears ink at its own pace.
At your follow-up, we’ll look closely at your progress. If your tattoo is ready for another ART® session, we’ll move forward right then and there. If your skin and immune system are still working their magic, we might recommend waiting a few more months to get the maximum fading before your next ART®.
When you come in for your third visit, we’ll reassess together. At that point, we’ll decide whether to continue with ART® or shift to conventional single pass treatments to finish the job.
We sell results, not endless packages.
If you could see your skin clear again by this time next year… why wait?
Why does ART® work so fast?
Because each ART® session isn’t just one pass with a laser — it’s four. Each carefully timed pass goes deeper, breaking the ink into smaller and smaller fragments while giving your body the time it needs to flush them away. One ART® session delivers the kind of fading you’d normally need five–six conventional treatments to achieve. Over the next few months, your immune system does the heavy lifting but the fading will continue for a year or more.
Since our launch in 2012, we’ve performed over 6,000 successful ART® treatments — and more than 90% of our clients stay with us until their tattoo is completely gone. Not because they’re locked into a package, but because they’re seeing real results, fast.

What makes our Accelerated Removal Technique (ART®) so different? It’s designed to give you maximum fading in minimum time, while keeping your comfort and safety at the center of every step.
Here’s how it works:
- Four treatments in one visit — each ART® session includes four carefully timed laser passes from 45-90 minutes.
- Fewer visits, faster results — most tattoos are gone in 3–6 ART® sessions over one to two years, compared to 2-3 years or more with single pass conventional methods.
- Smart timing — we space ART® sessions about 90 days apart. That’s because your immune system keeps clearing shattered ink long after your appointment, giving you better fading with less waiting.
- Flexible process — once most of the ink is gone, we can easily switch to conventional single-pass treatments to finish the job.
- Safe and effective — ART® is most effective for Fitzpatrick skin types I–IV. Skin types V–VI can also be treated with ART®, though we evaluate these on a case-by-case basis to ensure the safest and best results.
- Ink-specific treatment — ART® works best on black ink only. Colored tattoos can be treated effectively with conventional single-pass methods.
- Easier over time each pass feels less intense than the last, making the process more comfortable as you go.
With ART®, you don’t just get tattoo removal — you get your time back.
Things to Keep in Mind
The success of your ART® results depends on more than just the treatment itself. Your body’s ability to clear away fractured ink is closely tied to your immune system, which can be influenced by factors like diet, exercise, and lifestyle.
That’s why following our aftercare instructions is so important — they’re designed to keep you safe and help you get the best results possible. Still, every tattoo and every client is unique, so while we can promise expert care, we can’t predict exact outcomes.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much faster is ART®️ vs Conventional?
One ART® session delivers results equal to five or six single-pass treatments. That means faster fading, fewer visits, and ultimately a lower overall cost for you.
Because ART® sessions are spaced at least 90 days apart, the cost spread over time often works out to be less than your daily Starbucks coffee.
Why don’t most pictures show complete removal?
Our photos are real — no filters, no tricks.
Every image you see comes directly from our clients. Most are taken before the very last session, since many people don’t return for a “final” photo once their tattoo is completely gone. That’s why you won’t always see a perfect end shot.
When clients remove more than one tattoo, one usually clears first — and that’s when we capture those “perfect picture” results. It’s real progress, real skin, and real freedom from unwanted ink.
How long is an appointment?
Your first appointment will generally be 90 minutes including paperwork, consultation and treatment. Follow-up treatment appointments will take 15 minutes or less. The ART®️ will take 45-90 mins based on tattoo size. We do not double book appointments so there is seldom any waiting.
How often can I get treated?
We recommend intervals that will minimize cost, while maintaining safety and effectiveness. Conventional treatments are generally at 6-8 week intervals between treatments and 8-12 weeks for ART®️. Shortening the time will not result in faster removal and will increase risk of side effects. We will specify the waiting period after each treatment depending on how you are responding.
