I have only spoken to the owner Chris on the phone for a virtual consultation and he was absolutely amazing! He was so beyond nice and answered all of my questions. I think we talked for like 45 minutes and he clearly knows his stuff! When I go in for my first appointment in a couple months I know I will be in great hands. This place is miles ahead any other tattoo removal company and I can tell it will 100% be worth my drive, time, and money. I look forward to my removal and to meet the staff in person. I HIGHLY recommend!

My husband has been going there for the past 2 years. From the first time we stepped foot in there to our last visit this past weekend, they are always kind and welcoming. They provide great customer service and the tattoo removal services they provide are the best. Tattoos are going away! Carmen is the technician who has done the tattoo removal and she is great!! She gives us care instructions and even some materials to go home with to help with the after care. Thank you, Zapatat!

Upon arriving at the new Herndon VA location, I was greeted by Christian. We sat down for the consultation and he thoroughly explained the entire process in detail. Any questions I had he immediately responded to and answered each one without hesitation. After the consultation he introduced me to Carly who performed my procedure. Carly was just as professional and did an amazing job. I couldn’t have had a better experience and was very pleased with the outcome.

I cannot say enough about Zapatat. The owner Chris and his employees made me feel welcome and comfortable from the moment I walked in. Carly spent so much time explaining the process and making sure I was comfortable. For the actual procedure, they talked me through it, made me laugh and although it sounds weird, I really enjoyed myself. I would give them way more stars then 5 if I could!!!

I just started my tattoo removal journey on my full right arm sleeve with these folks. The staff is super knowledgeable, and very friendly. I opted to use numbing cream which I had purchased prior to coming and I was able to sit through 1 pass over the full sleeve without any breaks. My first appointment was 9/25/2022 and already can see a visible difference. In my opinion it is not as bad as getting the tattoo on and it's super quick. The healing process for me has been similar to getting the tattoo on.. no blisters and minor discomfort. I highly recommend Zapatat, these guys are the real deal!

Carmen performed my second ART session. She was great. Very professional, kind, and motivating (I have a rather large tattoo on my upper back/neck). I highly recommend asking for her for your tattoo removals. This shop is very very clean, has nice restrooms, plenty of ice packs and they always take time to ice your tattoo to help numb it. Tattoo removal is never fun, however this place makes the process tolerable. The results are already visible after one ART session.

How much faster is ART®️ vs Conventional?
One ART® session delivers results equal to five or six single-pass treatments. That means faster fading, fewer visits, and ultimately a lower overall cost for you.
Because ART® sessions are spaced at least 90 days apart, the cost spread over time often works out to be less than your daily Starbucks coffee.
Why don’t most pictures show complete removal?
Our photos are real — no filters, no tricks.
Every image you see comes directly from our clients. Most are taken before the very last session, since many people don’t return for a “final” photo once their tattoo is completely gone. That’s why you won’t always see a perfect end shot.
When clients remove more than one tattoo, one usually clears first — and that’s when we capture those “perfect picture” results. It’s real progress, real skin, and real freedom from unwanted ink.
How long is an appointment?
Your first appointment will generally be 90 minutes including paperwork, consultation and treatment. Follow-up treatment appointments will take 15 minutes or less. The ART®️ will take 45-90 mins based on tattoo size. We do not double book appointments so there is seldom any waiting.
How often can I get treated?
We recommend intervals that will minimize cost, while maintaining safety and effectiveness. Conventional treatments are generally at 6-8 week intervals between treatments and 8-12 weeks for ART®️. Shortening the time will not result in faster removal and will increase risk of side effects. We will specify the waiting period after each treatment depending on how you are responding.
